3 days and 2 nights expedition
Whalesound has a unique program consisting in 3 days & 2 nights in all inclusive system to $ 1500 USD per person including hotel pickup, transportation, meals throughout the trip, accommodation at the eco camp on the island Carlos III, scientific talks, navigations and back to your hotel. Our destination is the island Carlos III, located in a remote area within the Marine Park Francisco Coloane.
Day 1: Pick you up between 8:00 am and 8:30 am at their place of accommodation to head to Punta race where we boarded our boat at 09:00 am and we head to the island Carlos III. The journey is approximately 9 hours sailing during which we will pass by historic sites such as the Cape Froward, Faro San Isidro and Fort Bulnes. Approaching the target area, we will make whale watching before reaching the camp located in Carlos III.
Day 2: After a big breakfast, spend the second day exploring the marine park, we will go to the feeding grounds of whales. We will also see penguin colonies, seabirds and terrestrial large as the condor or the giant petrels and sea lions. Lunch will be served on board. And also make a visit to the Glacier Santa Ines.
Day 3: After breakfast, sail around “Rupert Island” here is the home of the colony of Magellanic penguins and then begins the journey back to Punta Arenas, always looking for the latest sightings whales. We eat on the trip and will be back in Punta Carrera about 18:00 PM. On arrival at Punta Arenas, scheduled is estimated at 19:30 pm where we will take you back to your place of lodging.
