1. Francisco Coloane's Marine Park / 4 days Kayak Program
Multiple choices that include outdoor activities in association with BIG FOOT Patagonia. Coastal exploration of Patagonian Channels, kayak navigation in the Whale Sound, whale-watching as well as glacier sighting.

Day 1    
 

Arrival to Carlos III Island campsite.  

Kayak preparations.

Whale observation.

Transfer to Whale Sound

Kayaking. Birds and whales observation.

Lunch nearby Santa Ines Glacier.
 
Final navigation and return to rendez vous site.

Transfer to Carlos III Island.

Dinner.   

 

Day 3    
 

Breakfast.

Kayaking Ruppert Islet, return to campsite

Lunch

Excursion to Batchelor River

Penguins, seals, birds and whales observation.

Return to Carlos III Island.

Dinner

2. WHALE WHATCHING IN HOSTERÍA SAN ISIDRO LIGHTHOUSE AND FRANCISCO COLOANE’S MARINE PARK – STRAIT OF MAGELLAN 4 DAYS/ 3 NIGHTS PROGRAM

This program includes whale watching in  Francisco Coloane Marine  Park with Whalesound in the Brunswick Peninsula, in the Strait of Magellan, activities and places full of history in Hostería San Isidro Lighthouse, all the facilities that San Isidro Lighthouse and Carlos III campsite offers to you: warm environment, modern equipment, comfort, finally it will be an unforgettable experience of high quality.

Day 1    
 
  • Departure from Punta Arenas to the area of San Isidro Cape.

  • Boarding for navigation through the Strait of Magellan, with the possibility of sighting of Peale’s dolphin.

  • Arrival to Hostería San Isidro Lighthouse.

  • Lunch.

  • Visit of el Águila Bay (place where it worked a whale station 1905-1907), San Isidro Lighthouse and its surroundings.

  • Possibility of making short kayaking (2 hours maximum) in places near to Hostería San Isidro Lighthouse and a big possibility of observation of the coast intertidal.

  • Dinner

  • Lodging in Hostería San Isidro Lighthouse, double room with private bathroom based.

 

Day 2    

 
  • Breakfast.

  • Boarding for navigation through the Strait of Magellan
    Strait of Magellan’s flora and fauna sighting, in the route to the scientific- tourist campsite of Whalesound located in Carlos III island, Francisco Coloane Marine’s Park.

  • Lunch in the campsite.

  • Thematic lecture.

  • Tour by the campsite’s surroundings and whales observatory.

  • Whales and seabirds observation.

  • Dinner.

  • Lodging in double dome with shared bathroom based.

 

Day 3    
 
  • Breakfast

  • Short excursion for whale and seabirds observation.

  • Lunch in the campsite.

  • Transfer to Hostería San Isidro Lighthouse, visit to the surroundings.

  • Dinner and lodging in Hostería San Isidro Lighthouse double room with private bathroom based.



Day 4    
 
  • Breakfast.

  • Lecture.

  • Transfer by semi-rigid boat RIB (rigid inflatable boat) to the starting point of the excursion.

  • Hike to Tarn mount (hiked by Charles Darwin 1834)

  • Lunch in Hostería San Isidro Lighthouse or box lunch.

  • Sailing to Punta Arenas - HOTEL.
